| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 9, 2006 Draught at the Claim Jumper in Rancho Bernardo, CA Hazy, no, cloudy yellow color. Hard to get the color because of the dim lighting around here. Just a candle at the table really to hold it to. The nose is faint with some lemon (that was on the edge of the glass) and a bit of husky wheat. Not really german at all, just a lightly bavarian interpretation of an american wheat, which I detest. Anyways, the flavor is dry and the finish is watery. Nothing to shake a stick at? I’d certainly shake one at this beer. BBB63 (4263), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2004 Bottle (Foothill hefeweizen): Hazy golden hue with lasting fizzy white head and minimal lacing. The aroma has notes of banana, lemon, clove, musty yeast and light bitter hops. The taste starts with a twangy citric tone with a minor hint of spice and bitters on the finish. The feel is lively and clean, thin-bodied. Not a bad American version but could have used less citrus and more spice. Braudog (3770), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Jan 23, 2005 Had this as a Lucille’s BBQ house beer. Opaque yellow-orange. Chunky character, but unfortunately a shallow flavor base, with just a vague yeastiness. GeneralGao (3063), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Feb 7, 2006 Draught. Slightly hazy, golden color with thin white head that laced the glass. Smells distinctly of cream cheese frosting. Not much in the way of bananas or clove in the aroma or flavor. Slightly sweet. Not your typical hefe. Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA

The beer is a hazy yellowish color with a medium thin white head that diminishes fairly quick. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Mild wheat aroma with touches of fruit and spice. Medium, clean body with flavors of sweet fruit and wheat, plus a touch of spice. The finish is fruity with a short wheaty aftertaste. Unmemorable overall. riversideAK (2761), Shoreline, Washington, USA
