.5L swing-top bottle - Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a lightly cloudy golden body. Long lasting head retention and considerable carbonation. Malty aroma. Almost buttery mouthfeel.

Dec 23, 2009 50cl swingtop bottle: Balanced aroma with a subtle hop spiciness. Rich golden colour with a fluffy head. On the palate it has that typical, clean lager yeast feel with mere nuances of the various components - a light cracker- and cereal-like maltiness, very subtle grassy/flowery hops. Well-rounded, light and slightly oily mouthfeel. An easy-drinking quality Zwickl.

Dec 22, 2009 500ml bottle from Utobeer. Slightly hazy, amber in colour with a momentary white head. Earthy, malt aroma with some underlying sweetness. The flavour had plenty of caramel, a fruity edge and slightly spicy, bitter finish. Ok.

Dec 3, 2009 Clear nut brown pour with a thin but persistent white head. Sticks nicely to the edges of the beer. Aroma of stale bread, dirt, leaves, honey, and mild floral hops. Not overly pleasant. Flavor is grainy. Tastes almost like corn has been added, but I’m not sure it has. A little caramel. A little citrus/floral bitterness. Light/medium mouthfeel with a refreshing bite from the carbonation. One of the few highlights. There is a mild lingering bitterness from the hops, as well as a tiny hint of booze. This was a pretty disappointing beer, although I suppose the only reason my expectations were high is because of the cool looking bottle.

Oct 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a sweetish malty grainy and slightly grassy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy caramel flavor with some grassy hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Spiced almonds and hay aroma with some crisp malt. Lacy white film over hazy, light bronze. Sweet malt that has a slightly sour bitterness that is kind of herbal or medicinal. Notes of walnuts and toasted almonds. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slight lasting medicinal bitterness in the finish.
