Commercial Description:
Cask; Occasional.
Ninth of the 2008 Salford Breweries Series - Whitbread bought the Cook Street Brewery from Threlfall’s in 1967. They brewed Chester’s bitter and mild until 1988 when brewing ceased completely.
Subsequently available in cask and bottle conditioned in August 2009.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 11/9/08. Pale amber with next to no head. Aroma of red fruit and grassy hops. Flavour began slightly sweet before juicy hops took over, leading to a decent bitter finish. Good stuff.
