Commercial Description:
Beach Bum is an all-malt American blonde ale, which draws its deep golden color from the finest pale and caramel roasted barley malts. This beer is dry hopped with the choicest imported Alsace and Hallertau hops as well as Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest, which lend to its pleasant hop aroma and its slightly spicy and fruity taste.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a clear golden yellow beverage with a medium sized fizzy white head that was mostly diminishing and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma presented a pleasant maltiness with light notes of Belgian candy sugar and sweet fruit. The body was light with lively carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor started slightly on the sweet side and then gradually changed to a light bitterness. The finish was medium.

Single Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a light gold color with a small lasting white head. Aroma is virtually non existent with a slight trade of corn. Taste is a bit fruity with a terrible after taste. Yuck.

A light golden color with carbonation bubbles. The smell is corn, caramel, malt and yeast. The taste is slithy hoppy with a hint of floral and pie. Can taste toasted malt. The mouth fieel is thin and watery. No finish it is alright for a AB beer.

Didn’t realize it was AB til after I bough it... Gold color, loose white head. Slight sweet aroma, pale malts. Taste is watery, with a light citrus accent to it, and super faint hops in the background. It could be worse.

The "beer of the month" at The Beachcomber in St. Augustine Beach, Florida. Nice golden color, not complex, with a sweet malty note. Let’s give Anheuser-Busch credit for trying.

This draft brew from the Coach and Horses restaurant in Huntington, IN poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated yellow-orange colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was astringent orange peel and malt hop. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering malty aftertaste. The watery flavor contained notes of malt. Not one that I would buy again.

Draught. Straw aroma. Thin watery golden pour. Watered down taste with a lingering stale aftertaste. Probably one of the worst seasonal beers I have ever tasted.

This was horrible and dissapointing... for one because I didn’t know that it was an AB product or I would have had lower expectation, but I thought it was a true craft brew, because one of the other taps at the bar we were at was DFH 60 minute. Man was I wrong. This is a watery slightly euro hop tasting brew with no complexity, and grows worse as it warms. Man does it make me mad that AB is trying to pawn off crap like this that look like it comes from a real brewery.
