Commercial Description:
Beach Bum is an all-malt American blonde ale, which draws its deep golden color from the finest pale and caramel roasted barley malts. This beer is dry hopped with the choicest imported Alsace and Hallertau hops as well as Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest, which lend to its pleasant hop aroma and its slightly spicy and fruity taste.

(draught) medium gold, very little head. Faint hops aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet malt, citrus hops in the middle.

A good after mowing the lawn beer. A bit thin for me but works in a pinch. I tried this beer after surfing town and discovered a new work beer. Generally low priced but working hard to appeal to the consumer of less mainstream beers.

I had this at Seaworld as well. I figured I would give it a shot. It poured a golden color with a thin white head. It smelled of citrus fruit, some hops, and pale malts. The taste was somewhat fruity with a little hops coming through. It had the signature AB carbonation and grainy taste. The aftertaste was pretty bad, and not worth drinking at all. I couldn’t even finish the sample cup. It tried to be like a blue moon, but it was just not good at all.

12 oz bottle. Pours to a bright, golden color, with a rocky white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this beer is actually promising, with some good herbal hop aroma, and light pale malt aroma. The promise ends there. The palate is lean, with some light pale malt flavor, on a thin and fizzy body. This beer then fades into a black hole of nothing, with faint hop bitterness. Drinkable ice cold on a hot day, this beer is well made, but with all AB products that are suppose to be "craft", too timid for its own good. I was underwhelmed.

Pale yellow with a small white head. A hint of hops detectable in the aroma but unfortunately not so much once I actually take a sip. Aftertaste unpleasantly bitter. Went good with the pizza I was eating but on its own in was pretty bad.

Very uninspiring pour. Kinda got me worried that I wasn’t going to like it as usually I like beers that I have never heard of. However, there as a distinct pineapple taste and aroma which was rather surprising and pleasant.

Yellow. Good white head. Good light fruity aroma that smellls fresh. Fruity taste but it is not smooth. Mild taste as well that is hard to pin down. Kind of eludes the taste buds but you know the taste should be there. Gets flat quickly and turns very mediocre to bad if you don’t drink it quickly.

Anyone who rates this above a 2 is being fooled. Had it on tap last night at Bowie Baysox game. Certainly smells better than it tastes. Piss yellow color, minimal head. Aromas of rice, stale malts, cheesy hops. All malt beer? Gimme a frickin break. No way this is all malt. Watery, thin, cheesy tasting. Not worthy of any rating above a 2, max.
