Slightly sweet orange/lemon malt with a hint of hops in finish. Decent beer - reminded more of an American Wheat though. bendz1 (86), Ankeny, Iowa, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Jun 8, 2007 Slightly candied malt aroma with a malt liquor undertone. Very clear, average label. Starchy, a bit of a twang, dry, metallic. FInishes strongly metallic, lingering bitter aftertaste. A-B swings, A-B misses. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 7, 2007 From the tap, served at a cold temperature in a restaurant shaker glass.
Poured a lightly orange hued pale golden with a foamy white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing, very minimal amount of ringed sticking.
Smells more like an A-B lager than a blonde ale, pretty clean overall, faint aromas of citrus, a tad floral, and sweet pale malts.
Good carbonation and a crisp, dry and thin, smooth light bodied mouthfeel, much like the other seasonal A-B beers I’ve tried.
Nothing special, but pleasant tasting, thin sweet pale malts, I was hoping for a trace of caramel malts, but none really, a soft sweet fruitiness, a light citrus flavor from the hops, a kind of orangey lemon, along with a good hop spiciness, the hops provide a nice cleansing spiciness at the end, and a dry, thin sweet malty, lemony, spicy finish.
Easy, smooth drinkability, this is actually not that bad, went well with the spicy fish taco I had for lunch today, a palate cleanser.

Light orange, bubbly pour with a thick, foamy head, light citrus nose. Subtle hoppiness, balanced. Corniness in the finish. I didn’t have high hopes and it really didn’t disappoint, although it would make a great session beer for summertime. reggiekoko (10), saint augustine, Florida, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Jun 5, 2007 On tap at Gypsy Cab Company, St Augustine FL. No matter how much Anheuser Busch tries their specialty brews always seem to turn out like some disguised version of Bud. Beach Bum was delivered to me with a cloudy golden hue and no head or lacing. It tasted like citrusy cereal which left an annoying aftertaste. I will definitely take a pass on Beach Bum the next time I go to Gypsy Cab Company. zsk (3), USA does not count | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2007 Draft in a 16 ounce shaker. Clear and bright, no haze. Hops are apparent in the aroma. Tastes clean and smooth. Hops in the taste, but subtle, unlike many of todays over the top hop juice beers. Very refreshing and clean finish. This is a good hot weather thirst quencher. Not bad and A-B should not be ashamed of this at all. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 5, 2007 Straw yellow in color with a thin white head. Very poor aroma; slightly skunky malt, corn. Flavor is thin as well: watery citrus and sweet malt. Really nothing much good about this beer at all.
