Commercial Description:
Beach Bum is an all-malt American blonde ale, which draws its deep golden color from the finest pale and caramel roasted barley malts. This beer is dry hopped with the choicest imported Alsace and Hallertau hops as well as Cascade hops from the Pacific Northwest, which lend to its pleasant hop aroma and its slightly spicy and fruity taste.

7-11-08. 12oz bottle. Poured gold with a small head. Smelled of a little citrus and straw. Tasted of grains, malt, hay, and grass. Not the best.

Meh. A very dark golden pour for a blonde but the taste was bland and had a bitter finish.

Draft. Golden pour without much head. Kind of thin mouthfeel. Not much lacing on glass. Fruity taste, not heinous like most A-B products, but nothing memorable about it either.

From bottle into paper cup (roadside eleven miles into a half marathon) yellow with rim of white foam. Crisp malt character with a sweet richness and a lean (not watery) body that finishes with a bit of hops. Surprised to learn from An-Busch. Thanks, stranger.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear gold color with a one finger white head. The aroma was honey and malt. The flavor was similar. This is a good warm weather beer.

Bottle. Pours a gold color with a thin white head. Taste is of malt, fuit, honey and hops. Similar aroma. Decent bitterness, clean tasting and easy to drink. A good beer to have on a hot day.

12-ounce bottle. I’m not trying to be a beer snob, but this stuff isn’t great at all. And I’m not just saying that because it is of Anheuser-Busch diaspora. There is a little pleasant banana and spice on the nose, but that is about the extent of enjoyability I had for the brew overall. Tastes very much like a typical American lager. Flavor is of weak urine and lime. Not recommended.
