Apr 14, 2009 Tap at the brewpub: (Listed as Brewers Special and it was a Belgian style ale, so I’m pretty sure it’s this) Hazy light golden topped by a white ring of head. Very oddly phenolic aroma- clove, plastic, pool water, banana, and a vanilla background. Decent creaminess to the body. Sweet flavor with evident candi sugar mixing with clovey phenolic and banana. This stuff is like a German Hefeweizen with candi sugar thrown into the boil. Not so good, but not terrible.
