| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Tasted at the brewpub on 7/9/2009. This California Common pours a medium amber color. The aroma is malty and fruity. A medium bodied California Common. The malts are caramel and semi sweet. The hops are slightly grapefruity. Has more the qualities of an amber than a California Common. The malts don’t seem to have the sweet estery quality than is typical in a stream beer.
A touch tart in the finish, which I wasn’t expecting and did not like much. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Dark amber pour, some light fruitiness, but I got a sour finish that I didn’t like. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
