From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma is light roasted and toasted breadish malt. Solid malty flavoured, vague bitterness. Ends dry malty, no remaining sweetness and very low on bitterness.

Reddish amber ale with a thin white head. Sweet malty aroma with note sof cinnamon plus that damned sulfur. Crisp german malts and good hops, giving a smooth restrained bitterness. Medium bodied. On tap at BP, August 2005.

Tap at the brewpub. The body was dark amber with a light khaki head. The aroma was grapefruit and almonds. There was also some toffee. The taste was nutty with some lightly bitter grapefruit. Nicely balanced and very drinkable.

Tasted at the brewpub on 7/9/2009. This California Common pours a medium amber color. The aroma is malty and fruity. A medium bodied California Common. The malts are caramel and semi sweet. The hops are slightly grapefruity. Has more the qualities of an amber than a California Common. The malts don’t seem to have the sweet estery quality than is typical in a stream beer. A touch tart in the finish, which I wasn’t expecting and did not like much. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On tap at the San Francisco "Brews on the Bay" Festival. Medium orange pour, off white frothy white head. Pleasant, wort-like aroma. Flavor has some light citrus and some artifical cereal like fruitiness - reminds me of Fruity Pebbles. Very crisp, clean mouthfeel. Decent.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear copper color with off white head that laced the glass. Light flowery hop nose and flavor. Tasted a bit roasty and had a bitter finish.
