From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear and golde orange with a small bubbly white head. Solid hoppy fruity aroma. Mild wooden vanilla flavour to a light mango and orange fruity flavour. Light malt sweetness. Subdued bitterness into a medium dry finish.

Cask at the brewpub: Slightly hazy copper with a lacing off white head. British yeast aroma- some estery fruity notes meshing with a golding/fuggle note along with some American hops as well. Light fluffy feel. Some biscuity malt backs the flowery British hop flavors, meshing with some citrusy American hop notes. A touch of plasticy phenols are there as well. Huskier toward the back. Decent interpretation of a British bitter.

Cask @ the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a malty hoppy aroma with some hints of grapefruit and caramel. Slightly sweetish malty hoppy caramel flavor. Has a malty hoppy finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Served warm and still, hand-pumped true to it’s style. I like this beer because it is a perfect example of it’s style. Good strong malt character with just a touch of those british hops. Very nice.

Hazy orange. No head but that's a given for a beer on cask. Not as fruity as I'd like for a bitter. Moderate bitterness. Some malt. A touch of caramel. Medium body. Not bad but not mindblowing.

Tap. Amber color with a tan head. Strong hop aroma and flavor which I suppose is not surprising for a West coast interpretation of the bitter. Lest it betray the style, it did have a strong malt character.

Served at warmer temperature (cask). Mildly bitter, slightly fruity, good finish. No off flavors.
