The aroma was caramel malt with some nuts. The taste was sweet caramel with some bread crust. An earthy finish. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA

This altbier pours a dark brown color with a decent head. The aroma is of caramel malt. The flavor is nice. It has a sweet caramel malt flavor with tons of backbone--no bitterness at all in this one, but plenty of bold, rich flavor. The mouthfeel is full as well. I reccomend this to anyone who has the pleasure of visiting the Beach Chalet." bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA
