Draught at the brewery. Beer is clear, very dark brown with a small, off-white, frothy, mostly and totally diminishing head.<P>Aroma is malty with moderate notes of toasted grain, coffee, chocolate; Trace note of yeasty basement.<P>The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter, light/moderately acidic/bright with an average-length, lightly bittersweet finish. Roasty rets.<P>The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is fizzy.<P>Flat, pale, forgettable.

(On tap) Slightly hazy orangey brown with a creamy, beige head leaving laces. Lightly roasted aroma. Medium body with underlying hubbabubba-like fruit notes that by no means belong in a Porter. A vague roasted edge. Porter my ass... 270307

Draught at the brewpub. Dark brown color, lighter around the edges. Smells of malty milk chocolate. Chocolately and roasty flavor.

Dark clear brown ale with a light moka head. Nice coffee moka aroma, with a hint of cinnamon. In mouth, a light porter with smooth lingering bitter chocolate and light lactic notes. On tap at BP, August 2005.

On tap at the San Francisco "Brews on the Bay" Festival. Dark brown pour, nice mocha colored head. Detect some chocolate, brief bittersweet chocolate. Fruity back end. Creamy Mouthfeel. Very solid brewpub porter.
