Jul 28, 2009 From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Roasted malt aroma,a little faint. Flavour is roasted malt, breadish and slight liqourice note. Bitter and roasted finish. Nice and smooth. Vague butterish note

Jan 14, 2006 Dark clear brown ale with a light moka head. Nice coffee moka aroma, with a hint of cinnamon. In mouth, a light porter with smooth lingering bitter chocolate and light lactic notes. On tap at BP, August 2005.

Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Kind of crude and basic.

Jul 10, 2009 Tasted at the brewpub on 7/9/2009. This porter pours a medium to dark amber gold color from the tap. Small sized beige head. The aroma is chocolate, coffee and a touch nutty. A medium bodied porter. The malts are roasted, chocolate and coffee. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. There is a touch of a nutty flavors is this one as well. It just so light in color, not that that is a bad thing, you just expect a porter to be much darker in color. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
