bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA May 23, 2008 Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Summer fruit aroma. Summer fruit and light grainy flavor. Medium-light body - very drinkable. lingering summer fruit, light pine, light malt. Some decent bitterness. If only that little bit of graininess wasn’t there. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Apr 27, 2008 Tasted at the 5th Annual (2008) Triple Rock Firkin Fest. This American Pale Ale pours a light gold color from the firkin. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is floral hops and sweet malts. A medium bodied APA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and floral. I’m still not sure just what this beer is supposed to be. It has some hoppiness but its mild even for an English Pale Ale, it might be the firkin but it’s really not much of anything. I mean I could drink this beer as a session ale, but it really has no identity. It is well balanced and has a nice soft carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is soft. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Apr 13, 2008 Guessing on style here, but most likely an APA. Easily the best beer they had. Amber colored. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus, the usual PNW goods. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness. Not a huge complexity, but very serviceable.
