Very toasty flavor, not sure if I like it. Unusual toasty profile with slight peatiness. Ok in small quantities. rmussman (905), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Sampled at the brewhouse. A well crafted ale with smooth hops and a strong malty base. Taste is slightly toasty but leads to a good dinner beer. Bobsy (194), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Deep amber body and off-white head. Mild malty aroma is hard to detect. Nutty and malty flavour with a hint of sweetness. Average body, average beer. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 6, 2007 Another bold beer. It’s got the strong malt flavors of the oktoberfest but with quite a lot of alcohol to back it up. Not bad. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 12, 2007 (On tap) Warm, dark amber colour with a creamy, off-white head leaving laces. Weak aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with lightly sweet malts. In spite of an underlying sweetness the beer ends dry. 270307 GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 1, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber color with off white head that laced the glass. Coppery metallic aroma which was not unattractive, but didn’t really draw me in. Despite this, the flavor was very nice; spicy, nutty, and a bit roasty. All in all not bad. moejuck (1172), Ohio, USA

This one was probably better than many others I’ve had though. The pour was a see through red color with a decent head. The aroma was malty with a very faint hop presence. The taste followed suit, with a pleasant malt flavor that dominated. This beer is one dimensional and boring--but not bad."

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jun 19, 2006 This beer just had nothing to it. There was very little flavour of any sort, no malt, no hops. As far as I’m concerned, I would actually prefer miller light; it has some flavour, and at least it doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not.
