| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 2, 2009 The body was pretty mahogany with a yellowish khaki head. The aroma was malty with walnuts and caramel candy. The taste was sweet with hazelnuts. A stewed tea finish hurts the overall package. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

The aroma is caramel and fruity and sweet. A medium bodied amber. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Decent carbonation. A slightly sweeter than average amber. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet. GeneralGao (3066), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 1, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber color with off white head that laced the glass. Coppery metallic aroma which was not unattractive, but didn’t really draw me in. Despite this, the flavor was very nice; spicy, nutty, and a bit roasty. All in all not bad.
