(On tap) Warm, dark amber colour with a creamy, off-white head leaving laces. Weak aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with lightly sweet malts. In spite of an underlying sweetness the beer ends dry. 270307

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and deep amber, golden, and with a small tan head. Toffee butterish and slight roasted caramel/breadish malt aroma. Sweet malty flavoured, light roasted note and a hint of liqourice. Butter notes disappear in the flavours. Ends mild bitter and with a reappearing butterish note from back of the nose.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty nutty caramel aroma. Sweetish malty nutty hoppy flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty hoppy finish.

Red amber ale, with a nice balance of hops and malts in aroma. Very pleasant hops and citrus, lacks a bit in malts. Still good bodied. (June 2004).

The body was pretty mahogany with a yellowish khaki head. The aroma was malty with walnuts and caramel candy. The taste was sweet with hazelnuts. A stewed tea finish hurts the overall package.

Tasted at the brewpub on 7/9/2009. This amber pours a medium amber red color. The aroma is caramel and fruity and sweet. A medium bodied amber. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Nice balance. Decent carbonation. A slightly sweeter than average amber. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber color with off white head that laced the glass. Coppery metallic aroma which was not unattractive, but didn’t really draw me in. Despite this, the flavor was very nice; spicy, nutty, and a bit roasty. All in all not bad.
