Tap. Cloudy and murky reddish color. Nice malts with a good hop character and some spice. I thought this was among their better beers.

Sampled at the brewhouse. A well crafted ale with smooth hops and a strong malty base. Taste is slightly toasty but leads to a good dinner beer.

I had this on draft at the Beach Chalet brewpub. Nice dark red color, good malt & carmel flavor.

Red amber ale, with a nice balance of hops and malts in aroma. Very pleasant hops and citrus, lacks a bit in malts. Still good bodied. (June 2004).

Crisp, yeasty and fruity with apple and pear aromas and a hint of banana. Interesting malt flavors and a crisp finish.

Reddish amber colored. Aroma is caramel, some citrus, toast, lightly fruity. Medium to light body, moderate bitterness. Ok.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and deep amber, golden, and with a small tan head. Toffee butterish and slight roasted caramel/breadish malt aroma. Sweet malty flavoured, light roasted note and a hint of liqourice. Butter notes disappear in the flavours. Ends mild bitter and with a reappearing butterish note from back of the nose.
