Bottle from Beerlando and served in my Stone IRS snifter: Deep brown hue with a fading but lasting tan head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of caramel and charred malts, coffee, hint of chocolate and cola, with just a hint fig esters. The taste is rather mundane with soft dark grains over a yeasty background supported by some coffee and hop bitterness. The finish is chalky and rather flat on the palate. A standard mass produced porter with no clean cut attributes.

Bottle. Sweet nose, lots of coffee and caramel. Dark brown with an amber tint. Opens sharp and thin, especially thin in the middle, and finishes a bit more smoothly. Strong bittersweet coffee flavor. An okay attempt, but a disappointing porter overall.

GABF. Dark pour. Some roastiness on the aromas, but the flavor dissapointed somewhat. Burnt malts were there, but a bit too bitter I thought. Just ok

Bottle... Dark ruby ale with a small, frothy, beige head. Grainy, chocolaty nose with a rumor of coffee. Thin, bland flavor with light sweetness, ultra-mild bitterness and touches of acidity and cocoa. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. MIldly chocolaty, modestly tangy finish.

Very dark brown. Small tan head. Nose is bittersweet chocolate and lightly roasted malt. Same flavor, a bit more roasty, almost stout like. Some cereal grains, also. Medium body, balanced carbonation. Mediocre.

Pours dark brown with a small light tan head. Smells of dark fruits, a little nuttiness, dark malts. Nothing special. The taste is pretty sweet, almost tart, but some mild roast and chocolate in the finish. Medium-bodied and a little thin on the palate. A little too sweet for my taste with this style, I like them more roasty. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about.

Aroma is light chocolate and 95% olives. Fair label, nearly opaque, khaki head. Acidic, twangy, olives and clingy roast. Chalky mouthfeel over acidity, green nuts, coffee. This has a general unfiinished character. Very average, very average.
