Commercial Description:
A smooth, easy drinking Amber Ale with lots of malt flavor. Reminiscent of a classic German ale, the hops add a spicy, floral character that nicely balances the maltiness. Brewed using Belgian Pale and Belgian Caramunich malts, with German Magnum, Liberty, Crystal, and Mt. Hood Hops. Brewed for Beale Street Café (Rochester).

On the malty side. Had it in growler that my Brother-in-law bought. Drinkable but unspectacular. At Beale St. recently, they don’t have the stout anymore but CB still produces this one.

Draft at the Beale Street Cafe. Poured orange with a thin beige head. Aroma is lightly fruity with some caramel, and almost sour. Watery body. Flavor is odd, slightly sour fruit and a light metallic note. Not that good.

(draft @ 2006 Autumn Festival of Ales - Honeoye Falls, NY) Medium amber in color with a thick and puffy white head. Tasted and smells like all the other CB beers. Malt and hops mixed together, nothing standing out. Light bodied and lightly carbonated. Some hops but balanced with malts. Eh.

Appearance is ideal for the style. Malt balance is very good. Some raisin flavor present. Very quaffable session beer.

On Tap at Beale Street Cafe in Rochester. A nice malty amber with a balanced palate.

Dry and pleasant tasting. No particular aroma. Good amber color. Competent but not exciting.
