May have faded a bit since I think it was brewed a few months ago. Pretty good stuff though. Orangish amber color with an off-white head. Piney hop and sweet malt aroma. Flavor is caramel malt with strong citrusy hops on the finish, starfruit and pineapple. Palate average for a DIPA, a little oily. alexanderj (2284), Chino Hills, California, USA

Aroma of earthy and piney hops; with a bit of bread and caramel. Flavor was much of the same. A pretty solid amount of bitterness. A nice beer. JohnnyJ (1353), Carlsbad, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Apr 17, 2009 On Tap @ Callahans. Hops, Hops, Hops. Classic West Coast Super hopped IIPA. A little sweeter than I would like, but that’s my only complaint. I could go for a Keg of this stuff. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Growler from Craft Ale, and a pint at Capone’s, my two current favorite beer hangouts. The pour is dark straw, more toward gold than brown, with 1-finger of well retained off-white head. The nose is heavy piney hops, caramel malt, some fruit, peppery spice, tangerine. Tastes assertively hoppy with a good malt balance, and some finishing fruit. Well incorporated alcohol makes this one very easy to drink, and a damned fine IIPA. Give me another growler of this one any day of the week, and twice when my wife isn’t around. jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
