Very smooth mouthfeel with the flavor pretty dominated by the cognac. The aftertaste reveals a light oak flavor with some dark fruit and brown sugar. Although i was a little on the thin side, it was definitely a very enjoyable brew. Oscbert (539), Sacramento, California, USA

~Strong scent of bourbon/whisky. Not much else.
~Whisky flavor. Similar to drinking a shot of Jack Daniels, but lighter.
~Medium feel bitter finish.
~Luckily I’m a fan of whisky/bourbon/cognac. That’s really all I could detect in this beer. I don’t think it was a good idea aging a lighter beer in a bourbon barrel. Whisky over powers the beer. Naven (871), Poway, California, USA

Kind of reminds me of a hybrid between a Belgian ale and a Porter. The cognac adds an interesting flavor, although the barrel aging is fairly faint. Easy drinking and dangerous beer.
