Nov 24, 2009 On draft at the Bear Republic beer pub in Healdsburg, CA this copper colored pour had a light tan head and moderate lacing rings. Nose is solid aroma of caramel and chocolate. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is tends toward caramel tastes with a little molasses. Dry bitter finish. Solid beer and remarkably easy drinking.

Feb 23, 2009 Coppery pour with a light tan head. Hefty aroma of caramel and chocolate. Light caramel flavor with a hint of molasses and a very creamy mouthfeel. Solid beer.

Aug 2, 2007 Clear copper red with a fizzy tan head. Caramel malty aroma. Roasty caramel taste with some molasses notes and a slightly bitter finish.

Mar 11, 2002 This isn’t dark so it couldn’t be the big bear dark ale. Some marijuana skunk that’s actually very pleasant, creamy big and fat, God bless Bear Republic! This is another big BR monster. Some roasty notes. Delicious.
