May 19, 2008 On tap with nitrogen at the brewpub in Healdsburg. Dark chestnut color with a thin, fine, light-tan head. Lots of sweet coffee in the aroma followed by toffee and brown sugar. More coffee in the flavor wit a bit of toffee and mild grain bitterness. Fairly thin mouthfeel with well-rounded flavors that follw through into a clean finish.

Apr 26, 2008 On tap at BR brewpub. Pours a deep ruby with thick head. Roasty aroma with plenty of coffee and roast malt in the flavor. Dry finish, full body, good beer.

Nov 25, 2007 Mild roasted malt witha touch of cocoa in the nose. Clean and soft palate with a very light mouthfeel. Clean and roasted finish.

May 22, 2005 On tap at brewery. Darkish brown with a thick head. Wonderful coffee and molasses notes mixed in with just a bit of chocolate. Fills the mouth with a full body. Pretty solid porter in my book.

Jul 20, 2004 Draft @ the brewery. Murky dark brown, large dark tan head with lots of lacing. Light and thin with watery coffee flavors, light wood and coffee nose... subtle hops in the finish.

Jun 30, 2004 nitro tap @ hopyard. foamy 1 inch head deep mahogany colour. aroma is slightly offensive with slight chocolate. Coffee & deep chocolate flavor with hints of fruits & rum. Roasty & bitter finish.
