| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 24, 2009 On draft at the brewpub in Healdsburg. This came in the glass a brown color with a foamy tan head and left nice lacing rings. Nose is of coffee and roasted malts, with chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium and the overall texture is light and a bit watery but nevertheless smooth. Flavor is dominate by the roasted malts and bitter chocolate but the floral and grassy hops show up in the dry finish. Overall a smooth and easy drinking porter. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 4, 2008 On nitro tap, pours almost black with a cascading, creamy head. Sweet malty nose with an interesting sour like influence. This flows right into the flavor, with that sweetness yet sour funk standing out. Nice smokey finish as well.
