Tap at Blind Tiger Alehouse. Deep dark amber beer. The aroma on this is massive. Lots of big bright fruity hops. Intense chewy sweetness. Lots of rich caramel and a touch of sweet plumminess as well. Pine resin and bright fruity/citrusy hops. Sticky malts with a touch of light vineous character. Fairly chewy on the finish. This is a barley wine in everything but name.

Tap at EBF 09. Deep amber with a nice lasting begie head. Aroma is sharp strong boozy bourbon, oak, light vanilla, earthy and zesty rye, with sweet caramel malts, fruity and citrusy hops- hints of apricot and piney spruce hops. Flavor is boozy- bourbon, caramel and toffee sweetness cut with earthy dry rye malts, piney and spruce with more apricot and tangerine hops. Finish is a bit hot and the bitterness is toned down.

Draught at Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours hazy and cloudy dark brown with a small, rocky, tan head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, citrus, pine), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of apple, pear, and alcohol. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness.
