Commercial Description:
This Imperial Red Ale is an extreme beer lover’s dream. It is our Red Rocket Recipe, brewed with twice as many ingredients. Toffee and caramel malt notes and warming alcohol are balanced by sharp hop bitterness and citrus hop oils. Mahogany in color, enjoy in moderation.

Pours brown with a dense, light brown head. Aroma is thick with caramel, toffee, and citrusy hops. Also a faint hint of chocolatey roastedness. The flavor is heavy of caramel and toffee with various fruits: sweet, dark, citrusy, you name it. It ends bitter, but not as much as you would think. Surprisingly medium bodied as well. Really nice beer that seems to stradle a few different styles, taking the best of all of them.

A deep ruby brown ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, nice rosewater and nutty malt, light c-hops. In mouth, an intense oily hoppy ale, warming alcohol, flavours are blending nicely, grapefruit notes, rich and onctuous. Wow! On tap at brewpub, August 16 2009.

Dark brown with a fizzy tan head. Caramel and a big hoppy nose. Big caramel brown sugar citrus bitterness and a dry finish and alcoholic burn.

On tap. Pours a dark reddish brown with a creamy beige head. Intense, fat hop aroma. Quite full-bodied, plenty of roasted malt and burned caramel. Solid hoppiness in the finish but not overly bitter. 110709

Part of 4 sampler at Redbones, on tap. Cloudy light brown pour with very little carbonation. Decent lacing and bitter/sweet hops/malt.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/29/09. Pours a nice dark amber with little head. Great balance of sweet and bitter aromas which carries through to the flavor. Ultimately, the bitterness takes over with finishes with a touch of chocolate, but a well made beer that is very flavorful.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is rosted malt, chocolate and light vanilla note. Sweet roasted malt and chocolate flavoured. Sweet and acidic at once. Solid bitterness breaking the dense malt flavours into a lingering mix of hops and chocolate into the far finish.
