Commercial Description:
This Imperial Red Ale is an extreme beer lover’s dream. It is our Red Rocket Recipe, brewed with twice as many ingredients. Toffee and caramel malt notes and warming alcohol are balanced by sharp hop bitterness and citrus hop oils. Mahogany in color, enjoy in moderation.

Draught at the brewpub during RBSG09. Dark brown with a lasting head. The aroma has rich caramel and lots of spicy, piney hops. The flavor has darker caramelized sugars and lots of bitter and juicy grapefruit-laden hops. Very malty and very hoppy. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice balance of intense flavors.

on tap at the brewpub. Beautiful deep amber pour. Nose was loads of malt mixed with big citrus and pine hops. Flavor is malty caramel, sharp hop bitterness, some alcohol and hop sweetness. Finishes a bitter dry. Nice offering.

On tap at the brewpub in Healdsburg. Pours a deep, maple brown body with a thin, beige head that leaves a soft, whispy lacing. Aroma is very rich and malty as well as bright with lots of citrus. Lots of dark caramels with a soft toasted bread. Floral citrus and a touch of earth. Flavor is very rich and sweet as well with a nice balance of more floral hops. Big time, thick caramels with a bit of chocolate blend very well with a resiny grapefruit before ending slightly toasty. Finishes rich and sweet with a touch of vanilla and nuts in the aftertaste. Palate is full and silky with a light drying, rich finish. Overall, a really enjoyeable beer at the brewpub. Lots of rich flavors, but lots of balancing fruits as well. Good one.

Tap at Bear Republic. Reddish-amber color with a nice off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and piney hops. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, slight roast, and lots of citrusy/piney hops. Tasty stuff. Medium-full on the palate.
