Fresh hop nose, gold-amber color. Quick malt in background supports a zing of hops. Lingreing dry resin on the teeth. Insane balance--way over the top--but loads of fun.

Draft. rich amber beer with a nice off-white head. Big summit hop aroma - red grapefruit, mango, peach, appricot. Big summit flavor - grapefruit and summer/tropical fruit with a bit of caramel backing. Not as strong as many of the other Summit IPA’s. Very drinkable.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear reddish-orange color with off white head. Aroma is of pinecones, grass, and a hint of fresh paint. Earthy yet colorful at the same time. Dry and bitter on the tongue. Citrusy flavor accented by biscuity malt. Stick with the Racer 5.

On tap @ Tornado poured a clear copper with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of carmel, pine, earthiness and a hint of citrus. Palate was medium bodied and dry. Flavors of carmel, pine, earthiness and a hint of orange with a dry bitter finish.

Tasted on tap at the Drakes 1st Annual Beer Festival and Washoes Tournament. Pours an orange gold color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is floral and herbal. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet, lot of orange flavors. Hops are herbal, citrus and grapefruit. A medium bitter IPA. Nice balance. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
