Bear Republic El Oso Lager

(Draught) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of florals, grass, and earth. Flavor of grain, grass, earth, and some cracker.

Sampled during RBSG 7/11/2009 on tap at the brewery. This lager poured a medium gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with a touch of caramel and cereal. A medium bodied lager. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Good flavor especially for a lighter alcohol beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

On tap. Clear pale amber with an off-white head. Lightly perfumy nose also with bonbons and hops. Light body, a little sweet caramel and fruit with a discreet bitterness. 110709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small tan to orange head. Aroma is light fruity hops, golden malt note. Sweet, malty and light fruity base flavour. Medium sweet malty and fruity finish.

Poured orangish amber @ the brewery, simple, grainy, malty, bready, little hops.

Draught at the brewpub during RBSG09. Gold-light orange color with a white head. Clean malty and light dough aroma with some faint herbal hops. Doughy malts and very light hops with an overall cleanliness. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Decent, but not much going on.

Draft at the brewpub on RBSG Bus Tour. Nose of grainy wheat and light fruitiness. Clear dark gold with a medium yellowish head. Flavor was grain and mild bitterness.
