Sacrametno Sports and Brew Fest. After pouring Drake’s beer all day I’d been having my eye on this beer from Bear Republic, who was pouring their beer under the same tent just behind us. So during a dull moment, I went over and asked if they could fill up my glass. Helluva bunch of nice guys. So I’m looking at my glass the beer was on the darker side of the amber hue. Nice off-white head, although a bit on the smaller side. Aroma was really malty, subtle hops with a slight grainy note luring about. Flavor was malty, lightly nutty, with some yeast notes too. Very drinkable, and tasty. Nice to see a brewery like BR take a chance on something like this. Only available on tap at this time.

On tap at Vino’s in Roseville, CA. This is a very hoppy/bitter brew with a slightly sweet finish and a carbonated mouthfeel. Not particularly tasty, but goes down easy on a hot day.

Very low hop aroma and very slight hop aroma. low level of yeast and cooked canned corn. Not too inappropriate to style. very well carbonated and crystal clear. Hop bitterness percieved due to high carbonation level. Corn and grainy flavor very light and refreshing in compariison to heavier types of brews

Draft. Rich amber color with a nice off-white head. Light malt flavor with some citrus and a bit of tinniness. Low malt aroma. Lighter body, but refreshing and easy to drink.

Bland and unimpressive beer. definite adjunct flavors. Grainy and overattenuated mouthfeel. Boring would not waste my time on this.

Tap. Clear amber, minimalistic head. Nicely malty and well-balanced; not particularly challenging or complex.

had this at the stone 8th, right before they ran out...its was ok. actually its the only good mexican lager i have had, had a red-amber like hue, maybe a bit brown...had a small head. one to drink on a hot summer day? depends on the mood.
