Draft. Ginger Man, NYC. Deep gold body. Frothy tan head, slowly diminishing. Hop aroma, but somewhat slight, of grapefruit and pine with notes of toasted grain, sweet malt. The flavor is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Not a great ESB. Just OK.

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Floral hop aroma with toasty malts. The flavor is well balanced with sweet malt, light toast, and floral/herbal hops. Very drinkable.

sample: RNH: pours a very dark red/ amber with a good looking, very dry head. Tastes very bitter and malty... a very middle of the road brew, not too great.

sweet malt aroma. Surprisingly boozing sting considering the alc content.  Malt, pine hops that border on metallic.   Not impressive

Tap at Rattle n Hum: Deep copper pour with good clarity and a tan film of head. Extremely piny hop aroma with some grapefruit notes and resiny spruce tips. There’s an underlying sweet note of brown sugar & mild crystal malt. Creamy body with an extremely rich flavor for such a low ABV. Chewy hop resins all over the flavor with hop resins, spruce, grapefruit and some mild minty notes and a twiggy vegetal fresh herbaceous character. An intensely hoppy session that feels more American than British (especially the American hops used in this).

Time to catch up before BCTC. On tap at Mugs. Amber with little head. Not too sure they know how to pour beer at Mugs. Or maybe something with the glassware. Toasty biscuity nutty with English bitter finish.

Tap at brewpub. Amber pour with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel and nut with a bitter hop note. Flavor is typical toasted malt goodness but with a nice bitter hop finish to it. Solid ESB.

On tap at brewery. Faint musty aroma and a basement cellar taste. Don’t ask me what that means. Rough childhood. Caramel finish.
