| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 3, 2009 This is a thin, one-dimensional, unbalanced attempt at producing an English Bitter with defintie APA hop character. It’s amber with a creamy, medium off-white head, thinning slowly to a ring and wisps. It does leave some good lace. Aroma is toasted grain, grapefruit, with a hint of lemon.
Taste is bitter grapefruit from the very start through the finish and into a lingering bitter aftertaste. It has hints of toasted grain and raisin, along with a faint trace hint of pine in the finish, but otherwise it’s only grapefruit. Thin and watery with rather characterless malt, it cannot support the unwarranted bitterness, and has almost no sweetness or flavour to balance. Although not bitter in an absolute sense, this is one beer that is far too bitter relative to the rest of its elements and is totally unbalanced.

Came a nice clear amber color with a creamy off-white head . Medium body and a nice clean mouthfeel. Nose of grains and floral hops. Taste is bitter. Finish is dry. A very nice bitter that went great with the pub food. JohnnyJ (1312), Carlsbad, California, USA

POurs a clear, light amber with a modest, white head tat leaves little retention. Aroma is very fresh grapefruit, resiny hops. taste is similar with good, refreshing caramel, orange peel, red grapefruit. This was simple, fresh, easy to drink, and outstanding. Theis (3756), Denmark
