Sampled during RBSG 7/11/2009 on tap at the brewery. This dark lager pours a dark reddish color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is roasted malt and sweet. Medium bodied dark lager. The malts are roasty and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Draught at the brewpub during RBSG09. Dark brown with a creamy, off-white head. smooth chocolatey, malty aroma. Sweet, dusty, powdery chocolate flavor with almost no hops. Light bodied and a little sticky. This was ok, although a little to sweet, be it for lack of hops or under-attenuation.
