Commercial Description:
This is a hoppy IPA. Did I say hops? Your brewer is a hop head! This is a full bodied beer using American grains. The goal was to create a base for showing off the unique floral qualities of two Pacific Northwest hops, Columbus and Cascade. Columbus is a new hybrid High Alpha Acid hop used mostly for bittering, but used heavily as an aromatic in this strong brew. Cascade is the balance that ties the malt and bittering hops together. It is a true specialty ale and is our brewer’s statement on this style. 2004 L.A. Commercial Brewing Competition, Silver Medal Winner; 2004 World Beer Cup, Silver Medal Winner; 2001 Real Ale Festival, San Diego, Gold Medal Winner; 2001 Real Ale Festival, Chicago, Gold Medal Winner; 1999 Great Amercian Beer Festival, Gold Medal Winner - og 1.070, ABV 7.0%, IBU 69. Enjoyed via 22oz bomber. Pours a nice deep golden color. Nose is a complex and wondrous blend of hops. On the palate, it exhibits a medium level of body, hops up front, malt in the middle, and then more drying hops on the finish. Overall, dangerously drinkable and a steal at any price.

Rather intriguing deep banana haze with a suitable topping. Wondrous hoppy aroma with citrus, and grapefruit and pineapple in the mix. Great blend of similar hops in the flavor with a nice finishing bitterness. This is well apportioned, finely crafted iPA.

Poured from 22 oz brown bomber into pint glass: Aroma- Grapefruit citrus and pine followed by grassy and a bit of malt. Appearance - Golden amber and crystal clear. Beautiful slightly off-white head leaves spotty lacing on glass. Flavor - Gold malt, piney and citrusy hops. Yeasty. A bit of a bite on the finish. Somewhat metallic aftertaste. Palate - Light to medium. A bit slick at first but finishes remarkably dry and crisp. Overall - Definitely a full flavor brew. 7% ABV gives it some kick. I could drink a couple of these....at least!

On tap at Lanesplitter. Aroma and taste are big on hops. Pine and citrus with a little bit of biscuity malt in the background

This was great. On tap at THRASH ZONE, Yokohama Japan. Poured a crystal clear amber haze with a nice hoppy malty citrus nose. Taste was crisp, very hoppy, and refreshing. More, please.

Good IPA leaning towards the hoppyer side of the force yet sweet in aroma and taste at first. The hops are perfumey and somewhat piney in the finish. I didn’t enjoy the body of this beer though, not as full as I would have liked and with a very harsh carbonation. Good tasting though but the body drags the drinkability down a notch too far.

12oz bottle. Excellent IPA with tons of hops. Really the hops are almost over powering so if you are not a hop fan this one is not for you. I am so it is.
