On tap at Buckeye Beer Engine. This stuff is great. One of the best brews I’ve had in a long time. Muddy orange pour with a nice frothy head. The aroma was lots of caramel malt with the a perfect citrus scent. Great aroma. The mouthfeel is perfect in my opinion. Thick enough, but leaves you wanting to drink more and more. The taste is a fantastically balanced mix of sweet, caramel malt and a wonderful pine hop presence. Really flavorful and tasty stuff. If they bottled this I would buy it buy the truckload!

Aug 6, 2008 From tap at Pizza Port, Solana Beach. Pours deep golden yellow to orange with a lacng white head. Mild spiced and fruit hoppy arma. Flavour is rather spiced and dense hops fruity. Strong bitterness coming up into the finish. Spiced and hoppy lasting flavours.

Aug 4, 2008 On tap @ Buckeye Beer Engine: Pours a hazy copper color with a light tan head. Aroma, earthy notes, pine, and some sweet caramel in the background. Flavor, caramel, up front, earthy and piny hops, some citrus, biscuit and pale malt flavors, and the finish has a big pine and earthy hop kick, lots of bitterness. I loved it.

Jul 22, 2008 Draft. Pours hazy coppery with off-white head. Nose is piney hops, mango, tangerine. Tastes assertively hoppy with caramel malt, tangerine, and honeydew notes. Hefty, complex palate. This one is outstanding.

Jun 25, 2008 Updated: Jul 21, 2008On tap at Brew Kettle. They just replaced the Racer 5 keg with Racer X and I was very happy because the X was a damn good, hoppy beer. The color is cloudy amber with a delicious hop aroma. The flavor is of hops, hops, with a little hops to finish it off. Nice balance.

Jun 21, 2008 Served from a growler. Amber pour with a medium sized off white head. Huge citrus hop aroma. Flavor is grapefruit, cantaloupe, orange, earth, oh yeah, and a bit of caramel malt. Finishes pretty bitter with a nice sweet lingering malt finish. This is very good. Unfortunately almost all of the growler leaked out on me and I only got about 8 ounces of this total.
