on-tap at the Falling Rock. Thick orange color, decent lacing. Smells kind of hoppy but faint and muted. The flavor had a some nice bitterness and fruit flavors but it was all overpowered by the alcohol taste, smell, and astringency on my tongue. You could instantly tell this was a very strong beer, very dissapointing given how good Racer 5 is. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-31-2009 22:55:41

Tap @ Down Town Johnny Brown’s. Pours a mostly clear orange amber with a small bubbly off white head, spotty lacing. Nose is piny with some nice citrus notes. Not very bitter and fairly clean and crisp on the palate. Been wanting to try this one for quite some time......

Growler courtesy beerlando. Pours a dark orange color topped by a small, bubbly off white head that leaves some random spots of lace behind. The aroma shows the sweet toffee and caramel malt backbone to go with fresh floral and grapefruit citrus hops. The flavor follows with the striking bitterness from the fresh floral and grapefruit citrus hops, and balanced out by the sweet toffee malts and honey grains on the backend. Full bodied and sticky from all the hops with ample carbonation and a lengthy bitter finish. There is a touch of heat from the alcohol on the finish as well. This is a really tasty and well done iipa.

On tap at Papago. Yes, sir. Pours a nice shade of amber with fair caronation and acreamy off-white head. Smells of sweet tangerines and hops. Tastes of both with notes of brown sugar and gingerbread. Balanced and hearty. I want to drink A LOT of this, but at 8.9% I know I probably shouldn’t.
