Tap at Memphis Taproom. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of orange and lightly floral hops, some light caramel and bready hop notes. Flavor of light pine, bitter orange, floral notes, some bready malts. Single hop leads to the beer being slightly one dimensional but Ill take it.

Dec 15, 2009 Tap at Horse Brass. Poured a nice orange color with a thick white head and nice lacing. Aroma was grapefruit, caramel, pine and graham cracker crust. Flavor was mostly citrus fruits with grapefruit and apricot playing the biggest roles along with some pine notes and a decent caramel backdrop. Tasty stuff, good old Bear Republic.

Dec 5, 2009 On draft at Capones. Pours a light orange with a medium white head. Aroma of light grapefruit, candy, grass and fruit. Taste of watery grapefruit, grassy notes and bitter hops.

Dec 5, 2009 Pours a dark golden orange color with light golden hues when held to a light source and a .5 finger off white head that quickly settle into a thin lasting ring. Not much in the way of lacing.
Citrus floral hop aroma balanced by some sweet caramel malt and hints of graham cracker. and biscuit. Subtle grapefruit citrus and dry pine.
Medium body and very hop forward with a lot of dry earthy pine flavor and some nice citrus notes. Balanced by a sweet caramel/biscuit malt backbone. Hints of grapefruit, mango and orange peel. The dry bitter hops linger throughout and still shine even though there is a stronger malt presence than I tend to prefer. Slight alcohol presence toward the end of the swallow lingering into a dry finish.

Dec 4, 2009 On tap at Capone’s. Lightly hazed amber with a big sticky head. Smells of fresh grapefruit zest, caramel, and floral. The flavor is grapefruit, tangerine, and floral. Medium body that has a creaminess to it. Medium-high bitterness. Not quite as good as their regular IPA offerings but still pretty tasty.

Dec 3, 2009 draft @ Down Town Johnny Brown’s. I’m assuming this is the one I tried..... Pours a crystal clear apricot orange with a small off white ring. Nose holds light pine with some grainy qualities. Flavor is also grainy with some roasted malts. I made a mistake trying this after Racer X, will re rate if I get to try it again.

Nov 30, 2009 old note 11/1. Pint at redbones during Northwest fest. Great aroma, Sweet fruity, peach, apricot, orange a plenty. Goolden orange color, Ok head and lace. Bitter flavor, grapefruit mainly other citrus too. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, Sweet dry finish. Good beer, great aroma, one to sniff, ...

Nov 27, 2009 On tap at Capone’s ( not sure if it was the Simcoe...waiting for verification). Poured a medium amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops and citrus. Tastes of floral hops, citrus, and a lighter caramel. Lacing left on the glass.

Nov 20, 2009 Draft DTJB: pours golden with thin creamy top. Mango-like fruity nose with hints of pineapple as well. Dry, resiny hop flavors with stinging bitterness in the finish and fruity essences of tropical fruits. Nice, dry but fruity and clean and refreshing. This is made perfectly to accent the flavors of the amarillo hop...I commend them on their choice. Bitterness is unrelenting...its a bit slippery in the mouth, but probably just because it was served to me too cold. I dig it, but then again...I’m a sucker for 1 hop beers when done right, and this was indeed done right.
