| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2009 Bomber, poured into tulip glasses and split four ways. Color is soft amber, with a nice fluffy head (it doesn’t last all that long!). Aroma has red cherries, milk chocolate, hops and parsley. Flavor starts with some interesting chocolate, cherry, and toffee, then moves swiftly – a touch heavy-handedly – towards strawberry and bitter hops. By the finishing essence, this emerges quite bitter and lasting. Very tasty, but drank with the wrong crowd (i.e. non-hopheads), this one won’t sit well. DiabolikDUB (144), Portland, Oregon, USA

Pours a brilliant deep ruby color that is crystal clear with a thin tan head that remains atop the glass and leaves nice lacing as you sip. The Aroma has a resinous piney hop aroma with some bready, toasted malts to follow it up. The flavor has more hop flavor upfront with some dried fruits and ends up sweet and with a lingering citrus bitterness. Its a medium bodied beer that is slightly sticky. I’m really glad the flavor came through for this one because the aroma was just a little boring. Tasty Malt Beverage. daknole (3031), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Just an insanely tasty beer that for some unknown reason I’ve not rated, although consumed in rather large amounts. The beer pours out stunning dark amber/rusty red color, clear with a really nice light tan creamy thick head. Aroma has a fresh, clean hop attack with the 1-2 grapefruit/pine punch, followed up with a great toasted bread angle and some roasted nuts. Really interesting. Flavor is oozing with glorious hops, dark fruits, some cherry cordial, and caramel. Is this a beer or is this a freakin’ dessert? WOW. Amazingly tasty beer that I’ve enjoyed repeatedly for the past 2-3 years. Joakgust (338), Stockholm, Sweden

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2009 22 oz bottle. Pours a fantastic color, a reddish copper with a great tan head. The head lasts quite awhile, helps produce some great aromas throughout. Those aromas include some citrus, some bread, lots of pine. The taste has some impressive bitterness, but starts with a hint of sweet malts. Overall the balance is quite nice. Suprisingly low ABV for all of that strong flavor. Still enough alcohol to get the job done, though, that wasn’t a complaint. Really great beer. drjay44 (824), Salida, Colorado, USA

Nice heavy brew, with a rather low ABV for all the taste.
