Commercial Description:
The brew of choice for mountain bikers, and adventurous types worldwide. (Are you excited now!) This fiery red ale is not for the weak at heart. It originally started out as a Scottish red ale but has taken on flavors of its own. This is a very complex recipe using five different grains to achieve it's unique flavor. The caramel malt used is a mixture of Belgian Caravienne and Hugh Bairds Crystal malts. Red Rocket is a full bodied, hoppy brew which finishes on the pallet with caramel malts. Centennial and Cascade hops are used for bittering and aroma.2004 L.A. Pours dark, dark red with a thin white head. Aromas of bourbon and tart raspberry, with a bit of an herbal hop bouquet. Huge hop flavor up front with a hint of herbaceous in the middle and a fleeting taste of dark malts. Finishes long but very clean and hoppy. Could use a bit more malt sweetness to balance all the hops.

Poured a very dark amber color with a tinge of orange. The head was a nice creamy tan color that went down rather quickly. There was nice lacing however on the glass. The aroma was very subtle. The taste was slightly dry with a little bit of a hop bite. The flavor became a little bitter on the finish. The bitterness was on the mild side, which made for an enjoyable finish.

The aroma is malty with a nice hop finish. The appearance is a nice red with a small head that lingers around the glass. The flavor starts off malty with a nice hoppy finish. The mouthfeel is thick and slightly carbonated with a slight bitterness that leaves the mouth a bit dry. Overall a nice ale.

Beautiful deep, clear amber pour with a thin tan head that faded quickly. Nose is sweet with malt and a bit of plum. Flavor is also sweet and malty with a touch of dryness. Smooth finish

Poured a cloudy light-mud color with a thin-medium head. Thick, but not too thick. Easy going down. Loved drinking a red ale with this much hops. Sweet and fruity, a pleasure to drink. Not as hardcore as some of Bear Republic’s others, but still definitely a Bear Republic.

Amber color. Thick white head. Hoppy aroma. Caramel malt flavor followed by a citrus bitterness of hops. Tasty.
