Commercial Description:
The brew of choice for mountain bikers, and adventurous types worldwide. (Are you excited now!) This fiery red ale is not for the weak at heart. It originally started out as a Scottish red ale but has taken on flavors of its own. This is a very complex recipe using five different grains to achieve it's unique flavor. The caramel malt used is a mixture of Belgian Caravienne and Hugh Bairds Crystal malts. Red Rocket is a full bodied, hoppy brew which finishes on the pallet with caramel malts. Centennial and Cascade hops are used for bittering and aroma.2004 L.A. Impressive dark red pour with nice creamy off white head...very smooth drink for the hop head in you.

Pretty nice Hoppy red.. Pours dark red with a nice white head. Smells of some pine and malt. Really nice medium body with a great carbonation. Flavor was pretty close to other hoppy reds I have had.. sweet and a bitter finish

Pours deep red with big rocky, meringue-like head that is oh so gorgeous and just won’t go away. Nose is sometime tame with faint citrus and caramelly aromas. That caramel is certainly present on the palate along with an unexpected complexity of hops that actually reminds me of some of Bear Republic’s other beers. This one is easy drinking and full of flavor for a "mere" red ale.

Belle mousse beige qui colle bien au verre. Mélange d’arômes de malt-houblo-caramel. Très maltée et légèrement caramélisée en bouche. Finale légèrement houblonnée et piquante.

Pours a very dark amber bearing a frothy light brown head. Big aromas of citrus, little floral hops, big caramel, with a little grain. The flavor mostly resembles an IPA. It has a a slight over empowerment of citrus and floral hops over the caramel with some grapefruit. Sweet, bitter, and slightly dry. Comes close to a balanced equilibrium but the hops do come through first and more so. Love these aspects of a beer!

Bomber. Pours a deep dark red with frothy tan head. Nice caramel nose with hops underneath. Flavor is caramel with raisins and bitter hops over a nice toasted malt backbone. Ends with a nice bitterness which balances the malt sweetness. Medium palate, very drinkable but yet aggresive. Very good.

bottle: pint glass: Pours... you guessed it: RED! a deep mahahony/ brown actually. Very thin head upon pour, yet literally zero head remained. Tastes of roasted malts, dark fruits... nice start. Ends with strong bitters and a burned quality, fairly offensive. Not a fan at all... however it is a good representative of its style.

bottle: pour deep red with thin head. Smelled of hops and a slight carmel malt smell. Bit more to the bitter side than I like, but flavor had light carmel malts with strong bitter end. Pretty good.
