Commercial Description:
"XP" is the abbreviation for Exceptional Pale Ale. This is our interpretation of a classic pale ale. Our "XP" (exceptional pale) has a golden color, and is very light bodied with a noticeable hop aroma and bittering element that just teases the hopheads but satisfies the newest of microbrewed ale drinkers. This beer is brewed with American Two Row, English wheat, Belgian, and Dextrin malts. Mix this with just the right amounts of Cascade and Centennial hops and you've got a winner!!

Pours an orange/amber with a smalish off-white head that dissipates fast but leaves decent lacing. Nose of malt with a sweet grape almost white wine like quality. Taste is a nice balance of malt and hop with notes of grape and apple. Finish is of that hoppy variety rather common in good American ales. A tasty and enjoyable brew.

Listed on the tasting menu as Special XP Ale. I assume this is the same thing! Well balanced between malt and hop, but the intense hop presence is a dead giveaway as to the priorities of this brewer. As with several of their beers, this one is a hop lovers dream. Smooth and drinkable, a bitter finish, citrus, pine, grapefruit, and everything nice. Love it.

Bomber. Thanks to zythum for the trade. Pours a copper color with a thick off-white head which produces lots of lacing. Aroma is floral and herbal. This is a very well balanced Pale Ale with malts and hops. The malts are bready and a little caramel with hops that are floral and citrusy. Light bitterness towards the finish. Solid. Thanks again zythum!

Bomber at Jerry’s. Copper with big, foamy off-white head / Nose of citrus and melon / Light to medium body, lively, fine carbonation, with dry hops dominating malts, and with good, biting finish / Flavors of burnt sugar and dry hops with notes of orange and melon / Very nice, with less of a fruit profile than most APAs.

Pours a nice big head witha coppery looking body. The head leaves a lacing that doesn’t ever go away. So it looks quite nice. The aroma if taken out of the bottle first is exceptional: hops, slightly citrusy, and sugar. The taste is at first fruity then it follows with bitter and extremely crisp hops. The beer is not thick but it is anything but watery. Unlike many other beers, this beer is flavorful and delicious even when it is quite cold. I was really happy with this beer.

22oz. bottle. Pleasantly sweet and fruity aroma, malty and citric, with notes of orange, grapefruit and faint berry, along with toasty, lightly grainy, honeyish and sweet malts and a gentle earthiness in the background. Light-medium golden amber color, somewhat hazy, with a very fine but lasting head. Flavor is really very nicely balanced, with floral, leafy, citric hop and a lightly fruity yeast character blending with toasted honey and generous spicy bitterness, and finishing on a hop-accented note. Active, light and resinous on the palate, body is medium. Highly drinkable and tasty.

Pours a clear, pale copper with two fingers of fairly dense, frothy, off-white head that has some staying power. The nose is of lightly toasty pale malt with a backing of citric and slightly piny hops, accompanied by a faint candy sugar note. Light to medium-bodied and creamy-slick with a moderate hop bitterness at the finish. The flavor is like a British pale ale brewed with a plentiful hit of American "C" hops; lightly toasty, bready malt backed by a big hit of grapefruity hops. This is a solid brew, but given a choice between this and BR’s Racer 5, their IPA would win every time.

Bottle. Pours with a large head, clear body, excellent lacing, and amber color. Aromas of heavy hops (mainly citrus and herbs) and hints of port and wood. Bitter finish. Wonderful beer and I will definitely be purchasing more of it in the future.
