Commercial Description:
"XP" is the abbreviation for Exceptional Pale Ale. This is our interpretation of a classic pale ale. Our "XP" (exceptional pale) has a golden color, and is very light bodied with a noticeable hop aroma and bittering element that just teases the hopheads but satisfies the newest of microbrewed ale drinkers. This beer is brewed with American Two Row, English wheat, Belgian, and Dextrin malts. Mix this with just the right amounts of Cascade and Centennial hops and you've got a winner!!

Bottle. Pours amber with thick white head. Nice hop aroma. Taste is fruit floral with hop kick at the end. Thin body. A bit too hoppy/fruit for sessioning, but a nice beer.

Bomber into a pint glass. Typical good Pale. Aroma of mostly piney hops, some lingering fruit and spice. Pours amber with an medium sized off-white head. Medium bodied on the palate with a nice spicy hoppy punch accompanied by strong (but not overwhelming) carbonation. Overall: nothing special, but still a good sturdy regular Pale.

(3/1/08) Sample from a bottle (Thanks to whoever brought this one) at the RB table at Zythos Bier Festival 2008 in Sint Niklaas. Hazy amber color. Big fresh flowery hoppiness in the aroma along with some citrus and some malty hints. Flavor is a bit milder with a bit of malt at the start and citrusy bitter hoppiness (although not as bitter as the aroma suggests) later. Medium-bodied. A good APA.

HA HA, the last BR on the BR list. On tap at the Bocktown, such a nice place in Robinson Pittsburgh PA. Orangish yellow clear. Nifty alabaster head with big and small bubbles. Has a mild hop floral aroma. Slightly fruity initially then it evolves into an average hop bite. The effervescence of this stuff is unique and rather enjoyable. In spite of the medium hop presence, I find it intriguing. However, there is this constant reminder of hops building on the back of my throat, a constant acceptable hop linger. One of the better APAs this lager lover has had!

Bottle at ZBF08. Good caramelly aroma. Hazy amber? colour. Small stable white head. Good caramelly teaish flavour. Thin mouthfeel. Good flavour, but perhaps a little thin.

Draft from Deweys Pizza, Clifton. Aroma is big floral hops, bready malts. Flavor is floral hops, breads, mild pine. A damn fine pale ale, very quenching.
