Commercial Description:
"XP" is the abbreviation for Exceptional Pale Ale. This is our interpretation of a classic pale ale. Our "XP" (exceptional pale) has a golden color, and is very light bodied with a noticeable hop aroma and bittering element that just teases the hopheads but satisfies the newest of microbrewed ale drinkers. This beer is brewed with American Two Row, English wheat, Belgian, and Dextrin malts. Mix this with just the right amounts of Cascade and Centennial hops and you've got a winner!!

3/5/08 From the bottle. Aroma is a little muted, and makes it tough to determine if the sweetness is coming from caramel malt or hop flora. A slight earthy hop bittering marrs it as well. Appearance is a hazy orange with a low off white head. Flavor is fairly balanced, but starts off with earthy hop bittering that fades with time, but still lacks sufficient flora to smooth out the flavor. Mouthfeel is medium/low bodied with a medium carb feel. Overall, not too impressed; it seems, quite literally, a little rough around the edges.

Bomber. Clear, dark gold with a massive off white head that descends rockily. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Really nice nose - mild white grapefruit, some fresh cut grass, light pine and caramel notes, a bit of tart orange. Light, sweet flavor of sweet malt and lemon-lime, a bit of bread and pine. Light body, very bouncy carbonation. Stupid drinkable, but the rather bold nose is not backed up by the flavor. Light, dry finish.

A nice golden amber color with a large bubbly white head. The aroma is really sweet and malty without much hop presence. The flavor is a nice sweetness with a piney hopness. The finish is a bit dry. Good drinkable pale.

Nice head and lacing. The aroma is very faint, not much hop presence. Some sweetness. Flavor has quite a bit of malt sweetness. Prickly, piny hop profile. A bit numbing to the tongue actually.

Pours a clear gold, with a thick, creamy off-white head that does not die. The aroma is really nice - clean and sweet, with some honey and lemony citrus notes. The flavor doesn’t quite stand up to the aroma, but is pretty solid. Light yet malty with a little bit of lemon hop bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is very light and refreshing, but the carbonation is a little bit overdone here. This beer would be great come mid summer, but for the moment I’m going to have to call it ’good but not great’.

22oz bottle from Andronico’s on the Sunset. Pours an orangish amber color with a big, white, somewhat frothy head. Moderate lace. Smells crisp and grainy malty. Tastes crisp and malty, somewhat sweet and sugary, wheaty. Medium body, nice active carbonation, smooth. Pretty good beerm haven’t seen it in SoCal though.

Hazy fully golden colour with a white head. Malty, light caramel sweet aroma with hoppy fruity and pine bitter notes. Malty, light sweet flavor with hoppy notes.

Pours with a fanfare of foam. Laces my glass horribly well Perfect hop aroma. Mild malt flavor and milde sweet malt aftertaste. Puts mass produced american pale lagers (bud, miller, coors, to shame, pitifully so). This is what you colleze kidz should be enjoying fter rush on a hot summerz day! Ridiculously refreshing!. It’s actually good, no, great, for a pale ale, and pale ales suck generally, and you’re hearing this from an IPA’s biggerst fan. Keep that in mind.
