Aug 27, 2007 Golden-orange in colour, large and lingering white coloured head, good lacing. The aroma is quite hoppy, light caramel malts, mild sweetness. The flavour is weak, the hops are gone, lightly sweet, some mild caramel malts. Watery mouthfeel, medium body, high carbonation. Finishes short, only lightly sweet. This seems to be lacking in the hop department. Beerhugger mentioned that this might be a bit old, they really need to start listing dates on bottles.

Aug 12, 2007 I chose a shaker pint glass to pour out the contents of this 22 oz. bomber received in a trade from BA TexIndy. Like the traditional glassware that held it, the beer looked stark but beautifully proportioned. The golden pale body, two finger foamy head, and gentle carbonation gave this beer the prototypical APA look. The smell was dusted with pine and grapefruit rind hops, but it was fainter than I usually like. The taste was herbal to begin with and dry at the end with a little sprinkling of sugary malt in the middle. Very light in the mouthfeel, and easy to take large gulps of it from the glass. I suppose this is a lighter pale ale to convert the macro drinking masses. For what it is, it provided a fleeting but flavorful experience.

Aug 3, 2007 Bottle. Pours a nice gold, lively body. Aroma is attic hops with stale grapefruit and slight orange. Citrusy notes dominate the flavor, noteably grapefruit and orange pulp. Nice mouthfeel. I don’t normally like APAs, but this is one of the exceptions.

Aug 2, 2007 Clear light golden with a fizzy white head. Aroma of malt and grain. Some citrus notes to the taste with a multi-grain bready taste to the finish.

Jul 19, 2007 This brew is a clear copper color with a thick and rocky white head that burns off slowly. Patches of lacing. The aroma is hoppy with touches of citrus. Medium-bodied with a hops character that borders on harsh. Very little malt and caramel to balance. The finish retains the hoppyness with some floral notes. I am all for amped up hops but in this case it is at the expense of flavor. Not a bad beer, however it needs some balance to live up to the name.

Jul 12, 2007 Nose is very Sierra Nevada PA. Looks pretty in the glass but again most beers do. Body is a bit thin and tinny. Hop body and finish lasts and lasts. Unbalanced. I must have an old bottle or something. Very Un-Dude. A bit of a disapointmnet from Bear.

Jul 12, 2007 Clear w/ a good head. Crisp w/ a really spicy palate. Smooth easy drinker. Look forward to trying again and hopefully on draught.

Jul 9, 2007 Clear light amber ale with a thin creamy head. Light toasted malt and citrus hop aroma. A bit thin in body. Grassy, citrus hop and cracker malt flavor. Finishes satisfyingly tart and bitter.
