Commercial Description:
"XP" is the abbreviation for Exceptional Pale Ale. This is our interpretation of a classic pale ale. Our "XP" (exceptional pale) has a golden color, and is very light bodied with a noticeable hop aroma and bittering element that just teases the hopheads but satisfies the newest of microbrewed ale drinkers. This beer is brewed with American Two Row, English wheat, Belgian, and Dextrin malts. Mix this with just the right amounts of Cascade and Centennial hops and you've got a winner!!

Pours brown-amber with a substantial head, aroma is mostly floral cascade hops. Flavor is very good, dominated by hops but the body is a bit too thin - almost watery. Otherwise quite good.

Pretty good. Smells alot hoppier than it is. I didn’t pour it because I’m lazy, but I’m sure it looks great. A good brew overall.

Aroma was great, poured with a huge head. Flavor was good, but more subdued that expected, not bad at all, just a little less flavored than expected, still a good brew!

Pours a golden honey with a huge ass head of foam. Nose is more like a very nice IPA or a lousy IIPA but what evr way you look at it,it is very hoppy..Has a little floral note to it. flavor is a bit of a let down compared tp the aroma,it doesn’t taste bad bu any stretch of the imagination but I was expexting some more hops. Almost flat in flavor and somewhat thin on the tongue

Bomber. Pours a medium golden color. Large head. Mildly hoppy nose. Some acidyity seems to be present as well. Flavor is somewhat bitter. Hint of maltiness. Overly carbonated. Mild finish.

I brought the bomber back from GABF this year… thanks again for driving us to the store Merph!

Pours a stunning golden body and a fatty cap of white head! The PA laces the glass from top down. The aroma is a gentle blend of American hop, citric spicy, hints of lemon and grapefruit zests, blended with a combination of noticeable English malts…. With Hints of biscuit, caramel, and assorted grains. A very nice session beer… I bet some fresh draft is spot on great!

A ok example of a big pale ale. Big lemon hop flavor backed by a mediocre maltiness. Kind of watery palate. Wasnt really in the mood for this one.

This beer is the Northern California answer to AleSmith’s X. Pours clear gold, but with an uncontrollable white head that the pint glass could not tame. Aroma is light and hoppy. Balanced taste of hops with sweet malts and citrus. Could drink this all day. Unfortunately, if I had to choose, its a tough call, but I’d have to go with the X over the XP.
