Commercial Description:
"XP" is the abbreviation for Exceptional Pale Ale. This is our interpretation of a classic pale ale. Our "XP" (exceptional pale) has a golden color, and is very light bodied with a noticeable hop aroma and bittering element that just teases the hopheads but satisfies the newest of microbrewed ale drinkers. This beer is brewed with American Two Row, English wheat, Belgian, and Dextrin malts. Mix this with just the right amounts of Cascade and Centennial hops and you've got a winner!!

Baby brother of Racer 5 and Racer X. Not bad if desperate for a decent Pale with a limited selection.

22 oz. Bomber. Pours hazy dark amber with a large, fluffy, off-white head that lingers nicely. Aroma is sweet, lightly fruity malts and a nice presence, with scents of citrus, pineapple and fresh hay. Flavor seems a little harsh compared to the light, refreshing nose. There’s a bold hoppy blast of biting bitterness, with toasty malts, more hay, earthy notes and brash citrus hops in the finish as well. Light body and prickly carbonation. Not bad.

Rerate, on tap @ Pagago BC Phoenx. Fruity, tannic aroma, slightly watery and pheonelic. Quite drinkable and pretty decent, well balanced, though not a stand-out.

Bottle. Pours bright orange w/ large foamy white head that lasts. Leaves wild, thick, lacing. Lots of tiny bubbles fiercely moving upwards. Nose is oranges, bananas. Flavor is big and citrusy, oranges, grassy earth notes and a nice refreshing bitterness in the end. Makes your mouth feel full.

State Line Liquors in Elkton, MD was where I scooped this highly carbonated citrusy brew which had a few bitter ends to it and an aroma of flowery hops. It has a nice mouthfeel. I enjoyed this one thoroughly.

[bottle - 22 oz] Clear amber pour with a fizzy and slightly off-white head. Lots of carbonation. Sweet, hoppy aroma with hints of citrus and some floral notes. The taste is very malty at the beginning with a nice hop middle and a slightly bitter and peppery hop finish. Very slight aftertaste.

Aroma of hops with some fine malt, and citrus. Deep orange/red almost crimson, pours a large, long lasting, cream head. Full malt taste, lots of mandarin flavour too. Full bodied, pleasantly bitter, very well balanced. A fine offering!

Exceptionally pale and an exceptional ale. Very light color. Easy to drink. A little light on the hops, but it was a delight.
