Commercial Description:
"XP" is the abbreviation for Exceptional Pale Ale. This is our interpretation of a classic pale ale. Our "XP" (exceptional pale) has a golden color, and is very light bodied with a noticeable hop aroma and bittering element that just teases the hopheads but satisfies the newest of microbrewed ale drinkers. This beer is brewed with American Two Row, English wheat, Belgian, and Dextrin malts. Mix this with just the right amounts of Cascade and Centennial hops and you've got a winner!!

Slightly hazy golden-orange pour with plenty of flotsam, robust white head with good retention. Floral hop and sweet malt aroma, big hop flavour with the suggestion of tea leaves and honey. Light to moderate body with good effervescence. Pleasant and sessionable.

Pours a clear gold with a modest, lasting head and amazing lacing. Aroma is grassy fresh hops and sweet malt. Nice strong malt backbone and aggressive hopping - some optimistic breweries would call this an IPA. Good carb, crisp body. Very very quaffable, well-balanced and refreshing.

Location: Draft sampling from Whole Foods (Bowery @ Houston St.)

Aroma: Subtle nose...Bready malts with some light fruit backing
Appearance: Pale amber color, thinish white head
Flavor: Nice sweet/bitter mix, fruity hops are stronger in the finish
Palate: Lightish body, drinks nicely
Overall Impression: A nice pale, pretty enjoyable. Good, but not great.

Tap at Blind Tiger... I can’t believe I haven’t had this yet. Pale amber beer with a thin white head. Aroma is quite light but nice. Crisp crackery pale malt and a soft fruity hop finish. The flavour is fairly sweet but with a solid fruity/citrus hop finish. Fresh tasting and pretty easy to put back.

Nice amber color with a hoppy aroma and a very nicely balanced taste. Very good lacing. Roasted malt complements the citrus hops and the finish has a nice little bite but is exceptionally smooth.

Tap at BT. Pours a nice mostly clear copper with a lasting foamy white head- some lace. Aroma is nice crackery and bready malts cut with fresh citrus and herbal -like hops- hints of pine and orange. Good big pale malt flavor- crackery - doughy with a full clean hop profile- light pine hints of mint and good citrus. Crisp clean and bitter aftertaste. Solid APA.

Bright orange pour with a fluffy white head and thick lace. Hoppy aroma; slightly grassy. A little thin. Sweet malts and pine flavor. Nice balance but there are other; better pale ales out there.
