Solid, solid flavor, great hops, slightly sweet malts. Haven’t had a bad Bear Republic brew yet, in fact everyone I have tried has been great.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 18, 2009 The pour is a nice deep amber color with a decent white head on it.The smell is a nice combination of malts and hops. The taste is a fairly balanced between the hops and malt flavors. Nothing too exciting, a little less bitter than your typical pale. Overall it’s a pretty good pale with a medium body and slight bitterness which seems to make it a decent session beer for me. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Picked up a single 22-oz bomber at The Coffee Grounds in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden pale yellow brew with a nice white head that slowly dissolves and leaves behind some good lacing. Aroma of golden multi-grain malt, some flowery hops and a touch grass. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied with golden grain malt and a dry hop flavor. Finish is smooth with a lingering dry citrus hop aftertaste. douglas88 (1643), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 25, 2009 22 ounce bottle, the last of the night. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. The aroma is sweet hops, caramel and earthy grassy notes. The flavor is really nice; smooth citrus and tine flavors, not as bitter as sweet, toasted malts. Nice and very drinkable, Bear Republic is quality. beernovice39 (297), South Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Gorgeous hazy golden pour with very substantial and long-lasting white head. The nose is bready malts and big aromatic PNW hopping. Great honey-like bread and biscuit maltiness, sweet and substantial along side the very well balanced citrus and pine bitterness. Very possibly may become my new go-to APA. Wonderfull creamy texture and sirited carbonation that cleanses the palate after each sip. stefanje (947), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 10, 2009 650 ml bottle (can’t remember where i got it from). Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a big fluffy white head that has great retention and some lacing. The aroma is mild and barely detectable with some grains and sweet malts. The flavor is reminiscent of a good English biter. But unlike an English biter here is a good biter hop presence in this, oh why do the Limeys call something a biter and not make it actually biter. Also in the taste I get plenty of biscuit, some honey, butter, bread and walnuts. Very nice. The palate is silky smooth with lively carbonation. Take note Lost Abbey this is how you do carbonation. The finish is long with lingering honeyed English muffin. Overall: A very sessionable ale, a new day-in and day-out favorite. tokyogoat (567), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Poured a little more orange than your average pale ale.
Nose was a little hoppy with hints of sugar and grain.
Taste was a little boring, no bright hop flavors, just a fair amount of hop bitterness, a little bit of a table sugar body, little caramel, not much else. oh6gdx (9008), Vasa, Finland
