Hazy brown coloured beer with small white head and only few carbonation. Fruity nose with some malts and hops. Full bit sparkling palate. Finish is bitter hoppy and dry.

On tap. Gold with pretty nice foamy white head. Sweet, corny, hop aroma. Creamy, malt mouthfeeld, mild hops, hint of ginger spice... Rubbery finish that ruins everything, agh! Disappointing.

Tap at the Black Tomato, Ottawa. Hazy amber pour with a thick fluffy yellowish head. The nose is light caramelly with a pronounced fruity apricoty sweetness. The beer is quite light bodied but there is enough light caramel sweetness and fruity hoppiness toward the finish to keep it fairly interesting. It’s a pretty nice, light sessionable brew, really. Much better than I expected based on the trainwreck that is their Lugtread.

On tap at Allium, in Ottawa, ON- A beautiful and slightly hazed amber pour with a frothy beige froth. Nice lace. malty nose is earthy, with caramel, some floral notes, dark bread, quite nutty too. Tastes of sweet toasty malts, caramel, some dark sweet fruit, with a very nice fresh hop presence. Quite bitter on the finish with a fresh hoppy linger. Creamy and very drinkable. Excellent.

Growler directly from the brewery. THe beer was 4 days old when i drank it. Great aroma of bready, nutty malts. Lots of sweet grains, and some subtle hops. The flavor is full bodied, and satisfying. More bready, grainy malts. THis was a real treat.

Growler, front yard of the brewery. Very nice town, all locals where very kind. Very malty, salty/hopping aftertaste. Pretty enjoyable. Keep up the good Brew !

Secretly had at the Toronto Hart House craft beer fest. Appearance: golden red with a small off White head. Aroma: Caramel and grain, some slight pepper and wheat. Flavour: grainy and malty, quite dry with a medium lasting malt finish. Not bad.

Draught sample at 2008 Golden Tap Awards. Listed as "Festivale Plus", but it appears that a keg mix-up meant that Volo got the Plus version and beerbistro got the regular. Clear, deep amber with a wispy head. Aroma is malt forward, a bit woody and nutty, with some mild citrus notes. Flavour starts with sweet malt, a bit of brown sugar, with quick bitterness coming through in the finish. Not bad.
